As anyone on here can tell by my installs and projects I can fab just about anything and my heart is in SQ. However a good friend of mine picked up a 2000 Altima and wants to have as much skull imploding bass as possible. I am NOT an SPL guy so I am not sure where to begin. I can properly get adequate power to what ever you all suggest. Based on a limited budget; My questions are:

What sub or subs do you suggest, and what size?

Ported or Sealed

Amp recommendation

If I port would it be alright to port into the cabin from the trunk?

What order enclosure if ported?

Any other info would be great,

Thanks,

Jesse

2 custom 12"s, 1.5cf per with 40sq" of port per tuned to 38-40hz and 1500rms per //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

use the rest of the $ for 0g and a rear battery...

Either one of you guys know the optimum cu ft for the AQ HDC312-A? I will build to specs suggested. How many should he get? 2? Thanks

okay I am not finding what I am looking for. What is the required Gross enclosure size for one of these 12s? I am on AQ website and not finding displacement, net or gross required enclosure sizes. Any help would be awesome,

Jesse

Audioque subs have been designed to extract max performance from moderate box volumes. The 10-inch subs work in 1.2-1.5 net cuft, 12-inch subs work in 1.8-2.5 net cuft, and 15-inch subs work in 3.0-4.5 net cuft. Use these box volumes in multiples to calculate larger usable box volumes.
Straight from the site! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thats sound right, becuase just looking at pictures of the enclosure I have I thin they are right at 2 cubes.

Thread Starter - How many subs is he going to run? If it is 3 I can send you the exact measurements and specs. It was custom made ($1000) from a guy who used to work for ProBox.
