i know i could run one amp per coil and have each amp seeing 2 ohms correct? what the hell ohm load would this be? or is it even possible. if the sub is dual 2.

if you wire both amps in the same config for what is a 1 ohm load, it should be the same load... 1 ohm...

that would make sense to me...

I would imagine a 1 ohm load for the amps...

I don't think this is a good idea what the op wants...

why not strap the amps and then do this?

or run each amp to one coil?

honestly, i was just seeing if there was a way to run two 1 ohm stable amps on a dual 2 ohm sub, with each amp running at 1 ohm. i really should sell the amp i have now and get one big amp opposed to buying another matching amp.

Never put two amps on the same load unless they're designed for it, i.e. strappable. You'll blow both of them up.

according to a reputable source on ROE that would be running the amps in parallel, and would most likely blow the amps unless they were designed to be run like this. makes sense.

You would end up driving the other amp and over current it...

Yar I played aroudn and tried soemthing similar with two cheap amps, and it just doesnt work it send the amps into protect and just messes everything up...that and if the amps aren't strapped it hard to get the to the same settings...infact it's impossible.

Get a diff amp.
