Well i dont have the same set up but i have a jl12w6v2 in a 2.0 tuned at 31 hz and i had a similar problem with lows what i did was use steeper lpf slope (24db) (not sure if ur particular deck has adjustable crossover slopes)and set it between 55 ~ 60 hz and i was quite happy after that, also i had a pioneer deck before make sure u have the loud function off and dont boost the lows from the Para Eq more than +2 i personally never use it makes bass sound 1 noted. On a side note try setting low on the para Eq to 100 hz and N2 width and set it to -6 did the trick with my old set up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
Hope everything works out.
You are my hero. End of story.
I decided to try out what he said, lowered my LPF a tiny bit on the amp itself, set the gains for the 60 hz, and put the SSF up to about 20 hz.
This thing is now wanging like I wanted it to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Still doesn't throw out Late Night Tip, but Soul Survivor has my mirrors, roof, back window, and passenger door flexing decently. The Lows are finally keeping up with the mid range lows.
For a single 12" sub, this is way more than I ever expected.
Voltage is now dropping like I expected it to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif. 13.1-13.2 on Soul Survivor. The amp is actually pushing some voltage at that level. Before it'd remain a constant 13.9 on any song with a lower note than about 45-50 hz. I never thought I'd be so happy to see my voltage dropping like crazy. Can't wait for the Alt to get here, come on Thunder9500! haha.
Just on a side note, what does a sub sound like when it bottoms out? Is it a loud clicking / thumping sound, or is it fairly hard to hear? Just want to make sure I don't have the SSF set too low.
Once again, thanks to everyone that contributed to this thread, and helped in any way.
