Why don't you spend this time looking for a job? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Bro I am trying hard to look for one. The city live on,.stockton just went bankrupt. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif hard to find a job. I'm even looking on construction sites and nothing.

Holy shit. Stockton is the shithole of Cali. How did you get stuck there? Your profile says you're in LA. Your chief of police jsut resigned. Apply for that job.
I am in stockton because I lost my job in l.a I was renting my own place etc so I had no choice but to move with my parents.

I just saw how this thread turned into a discussion on breaks.....there is an important point you guys missed....Legally speaking if you work in the private sector, you have NOrights as an employee. This means no breaks, holidays or right to privacy from drug tests etc. Some states have laws that govern the private sector, but most dont. Ohio is one of those states, I live in OH and work the private industry and I have a degree in human resources, it pisses me off to the extreme that I am required to work 10+ hour shifts and not receive a single break. Working in the private sector in states like this sucks fat hairy ballsack. And that is why unions in theory are good to have, because they negotiate a secure, safe and fair work environment.

10 hr shift, i'm taking lunch, no matter who i work for. slavery is abolished. if they fire you for eating, sue. it would definitely be a reasonable request to eat, use the facilities, and often either stretch or rest short periods to prevent injury or other harm to your health. the only reason people work in tis environment, is because ignorance prevails, and many have other workers that choose to work those conditions to work better. ignorance is inclusive of the "floor" management. a supprisingly large amount do not know how many laws they break, until the day they are taught. surely you should have learned of many "loop-holes" and tools you could employ.

I guess that's what happens when you pay everyone not to work and punitively tax the producers. It's amazing cities and states are just starting to figure this out.

jus get you a sign and some old clothes. go sit on a street corner for a little while. you can clean up. i usually pull around $200 a day with this hustle.

make sure you put "God Bless You" on your sign.

I still take meal and bathroom breaks, but depending on the state you work in, the bottom line is most workers in the private sector have no rights. As unfair as it sounds, its the truth. Thats one of the main topics that was drilled into our head in employment law class.

BULLFUCKING SHIT. That is the way it should be, but not the way it is. You don't have a 'right' to work. You have to earn it.
In California, the employee has more rights than the employer.
Many states in the south and west are right to work states, but in that instance I was referring to workers rights as allowances for breaks, holiday/overtime and chemical testing among other things.
