Some people say that adding more batts is only if you want to play with car off.

I think that more quality batts you have the better. From experience, adding a secong batts reduced a voltage drop with car on.

Adding bats will decrease voltage drops and increase the power available to the amp. It can increase output of the amp as well as reduce damage to the amp that is a result of the amp running at low voltage.

Not if your running 10 kinetiks 2400 and float charge them every night. You can run 6000 watts on stock alt without droping below 13v.

I got a 200 amp powermaster, 150 amp at idle. Cheaper then buying 10 kinetiks.

That is not true at all. First off those bats would not be above 13v considering they rest at some where between 13.2- 12.8v. you would destroy your alt because you would drain these bats and your alt would be working full tilt all of the time to charge them until you got them home. your electrical system is like an engine, if you just put a huge turbo on it and do nothing else the turbo may help a little in the short term but over time would destroy the rest of the engine from over working and over stressing them.

ive seen a 12v kinetik rest at 14volt.
