ultimate for me anyway....

I think im about ready to begin work on my 03 Burban. My goal is to get as loud as possible while still maintaining good clarity rather than just loud for no reason. So guess its time to choose equipment. I will be taking the 3rd row seat out so all of the space behind the 2 rear passenger seats is fair game for subs and amps. any recommendations on subs? also for mids and highs I was thinking about as many Boston Acoustics SC series or pioneer d series Comp sets or coaxials I can fit in each door to get that loudness but still keep clarity. or would something like some seleniums be good?

no budget really. what you guys suggest??

my top choices for subs were: Skars, sundown sa's, or DC level 3s or 4s. But open to whatever else is out there. not sure on sizes or how many yet either.

The dc's would be a solid choice for this build or you could go with more daytons or even try some tc subs, For amps i would chech out the i.d. amps or powerbass wich are both very similar. A couple 12" or 15" would be good for the subs.

The daytons have good SQ but dont think they will be loud enough. The tc subs are something to think about. But idk about only 2 12s. If I do 12s I was thinking atleast 6. Looking to get pretty loud! but just dont want to sound like crap either.

Exactly! lol Im looking to get waaaaaaaaaaay louder than my tC ever was! loud enough to jump on a meter and do very well! But being that I am more of an SQ guy I still want nice clean clear mids and highs and the loud systems I've heard around here are just that... LOUD.... but I doubt I could tell you what song they're playing. BAd thing

If i keep my 3rd row seat then 2 of those will be very nice! If I take my 3rd row out then I think I can fit about 4 of those. Its ALOT of space!

so if I do 4 in each door. thats about $2000 just on front speakers. Im sure I can get the same performance for cheaper than that. I mean unless its worth it over anything else....

Im willing to spend a bit on the subs because i know trying to get this loud and sound good wont be cheap.
