That wasn't the point. The point is, state tax dollars fund scholarships based on race. I am not aware of any tax-payer supported scholarships based on handedness.

He is right about the left-handed scholarships. I don't remember the organization, but there was once a left-handed scholarship that was available because the CEO of the corporation was left-handed. Not sure if it is still available.

I don't think I'm the idiot here. As I said, it's a myth. Just because it was documented doesn't mean it has been practiced. I've never witnessed such a practice.
Try pulling your head out of your ass for once and see that not everyone's life is like yours.

Try working hard and quit blaming your shortcomings on your race.

THE GOVERNMENT DID NOT SPONSOR THAT SCHOLARSHIP.

Thread is getting pretty ridiculous. Who cares about if left handed people have scholarships sponsored by the government? There are tons of scholarships out there that anyone can get the problem is that a lot of people don't bother to apply. Forget about this whole race thing. There are and will always will be racial tension and problems because people are ignorant and don't know how to look pass color. Just get over it and move on.

Im working full time to support my self and go to college, buying a *new* (to me) truck everything i own and use is in my name.

why should some *specific colored* person come along and get a scholarship because they are that *specific color*?

I dont get any extra scholarships, i just get one that i earned from getting and maintaining a high GPA through High School. You get what you earn IMO

If you have an ounce of black blood in you, you are considered black. It's how it is. I'm pretty sure all of those slave owners who were impregnating the African women back then were not claiming those babies. Ask Hines Ward if he is Korean. Bi-Racial kids mixed with black were considered outcasts. They usually fit right in with the African American race. Now that a handful of them have become popular (Mariah, Woods, Obama, Halle, The Rock, Rosario Dawson, Jeter, Diesel..lol etc.,) now they are so cool and accepted in those same circles that shunned them. If Tiger's mom was never shown or mentioned, he'd be black. Mariah did and still is trying her best to mask the black part of herself. Mixed race kids have curly hair. Hers has always been straight. Believe me, I see enough of them to know.

Why are people acting like just because you a minority someone is going to just give you a scholarship? There is tons of free money out there for people that can't afford school on their own people just don't take advantage of it. In my experience minorities apply for more scholarships and find as many ways as possible to get money to help them through college than others. And as far as the dominantly black colleges go, do you people even know why these colleges exist? You all need to do some research before you make such ignorant comments.

To the people that think affirmative action is unfair you all have to think of it from other people's standpoint. Sure there are plenty of places that hire people of every race but there are still a few that refuse to hire minorities and that is not right. Everybody's situation is different and some people need assistance to have a fair shot in life.

In my opinion people in general just complain too much and don't know how to just be thankful with what you have no matter what race you are. Just look at the people in this thread for instance. People actually complaining because there's no scholarships specifically for white people? Are you serious? At least you don't have to walk down the street and have people cross the street to avoid you because they're scared of you just because the color of your skin (no lie I have had this happen to me and I don't look threatening at all). People just have to deal with it. Ignorant people keep raising their kids to be ignorant so the chain will never end.

Where did you see notification that life was fair? If you ever think it is, watch the discovery channel...that will show you how fair life is. Although I subscribe to the notion that **** sapiens are no more "better" than any other type of life. Life isn't fair for a mouse, and it isn't fair for a man. Fairness is for people who want to make excuses. Life isn't fair and is not supposed to be.
