Ok so i still dont understand this ohm stuff and whatnot fully. Maybe somebody can enlighten me about it.

Ok so if the sub is dvc at 4 ohm. Why am i supposed to wire it at 2 ohms?

If its 2 ohms can i use a 2 channel amp, b/c if i wire at 2 ohms it will put it back at 4 ohms when bridged right?

What kind of amp should i be looking at if i want to power a 600 rms sub that is dvc 4 ohm. Should i be looking at an amp that does 600 rms bridged @4 ohm, Or should i be looking for a 600 watt monoblock that will give me 600 rms at 2 ohm?

you are going to want a mono block amp that will do 600 at 2 ohms or .5 ohms

you can:

use a 2 channel amp that puts out 600w@ 2 ohms bridged

use a 2 channel amp that puts out 600w @ 2 ohms per channel

use a mono block that puts out 600w @ 2 ohms

*please note* most 2 channel amps are only stable at 4 ohms, you'd probably have better luck finding a monoblock

also you wont be bridging to 4 ohms, it would still be 2ohms. if your set on a 2 channel then get one that does 600 @ 2ohms bridged

All i could find was 4 ohm bridged, I found an alpine pdx 1.600 on craigslist. Kind of like a miracle, it would give me good clean power. Gonna try to put together a deal with the kid. Its 600 X 1 @ 2 or 4 ohms. Its a digital amp.

Im going to try to get it for 150 or less. Seeing as its a 500 dollar amp.. And i think it would be a good idea to get it b/c it's just a high quality amp

He was only asking 240 or something a week ago, and keeps posting and posting. Im thinking he is deperate. Maybe i could pull a trade with him or something for some stuff i dont need anymore. Im trying to get rid of a rockford fosgate p500-2 amp and a 12" p3 in a ported box lol.
