Hi Goob:wave:

Also I am glad I did not pay to watch this. The beer and the waitresses were more important, that's when you know the fights were not entertaining:crap:
or when the people at the fight starting chanting "GSP" in the middle of the horrid performance

no i would just like to see a MMA fighter than happens to be the champ fight like he wants/deserves to be in the MMA and wants/deserves to be the champ.
r u slow?

He's the champ because he is the best if not one of the best fighters in the WORLD at his weight.

If he doesn't deserve to be the champ, someone who trains 24hrs a day to be the best will easily walk in the ring and beat him up. But that's not gunna happen now is it?

if seeing that it was a horrible fight and he doesnt deserve a win means im slow then yes im slow.

front page of yahoo now has the story about how pissed Dana is with the fight lol. Anderson is no doubt the best fighter at 185 and maybe the best in the world. I am starting to think that he is bored with the competition after this fight and the fight with Patrick Cote where he did not engage much either and the guy blew out his own knee.

It was a terrible fight bottom line. Silva is a methodical fighter, so him going berserk just to make the fans happy was not going to happen. Leites was a disgrace, and hopefully Dana punishes him where it hurts, the wallet.
Rumor is he will get cut, because you can't justify him being on the main card anymore. I also believe Anderson will need to have another superstar on the card with him at all times to help draw in the ratings that or he will be the headliner for the ultimate fight nights they have.

agreed. i just want to see him fight like he can fight.

they both need something done to them. i never said Leites had a good fight. they were both horrid. it wasnt even a fight thats the reason i say it shouldnt be a win.

if Silva fights how he trains how he says he does. then the last 2 fights would mean he doesnt need to be in the sport.

i know thats not the case but he didnt fight like a champ.

I think the match up has a lot to do with how he fights also. I do not think Leites was a good match, neither one of them completed one or the other. Sure it will get worked out though.

im not taking anything away from Silva really but he doesnt deserve a win for this one.
we will have to agree to disagree though.

personally i feel that Leites was the only one trying to fight. now it didnt look very good of course. by the 3rd round even his stand up was subpar. he just wanted it over. rightfully so.

he was attempting to fight and Silva stood back to make the ref stand Leites up.

that IS NOT A CHAMPION WAY TO FIGHT

from the article so everyone doesnt have to read word for word if they dont want.

But with Silva's second-straight sub-par performance, the UFC executive said he will need to have a serious conversation with his 185-pound champ.

1st highlighted part..... were you watchin the same fight?? Leites was the one layin on the ground every other second, wanting NOTHING to do with a "FIGHT"..he wanted to grapple and roll around, which most people hatin on Silva for this fight, don't consider fighting in the first place... Would you guys rather have seen them roll around on the ground for 5 rounds??

2nd part... If theres a world series baseball game... man on 2nd and 3rd, 0 out, do you have the guy try to hit one out of the park, or bunt in the winning run... YOU DO WHATS SAFEST!!, you DON'T go for "the knockout" if you already see the finish line...

I don't care what Dana white has to say.. he hasnt been training his whole life to be a fighter, he's been trained his whole life TO MAKE MONEY!! ( i know he was a boxer).

you think Silva, who's whole life has been dedicated to fighting, gives a flying fOck about the fans... Yes, BUT, first comes himself, and the #1 spot.. We've all seen a fighter land 1 lucky punch and end it AS THE UNDERDOG... why would Silva risk that..

All in all, they were both trying to do the same thing.. Only Silva's game is more entertaining than Leites ground game would have been to watch... If Leites was winning the fight, yes, I'm sure Silva would have rolled to the ground with him when he LAYED DOWN every 2 seconds.

I HIGHLY doubt it. GSP is going to make the mistake of trying to stand up with him. And he will get destroyed when he does.
Isn't gsp and penn going at it again?
No GSP and Penn are not going to fight again. GSP has Thialgo Alves coming up which is going to be a clash of two monsters.
