just posted this over on the UFC forum

we would have been better of watching the WWE instead of Silva.

put Anderson on the undercard next time no matter if he is champ or not

a champion should NEVER refuse to fight like he did.

on top of that

take away the win

take away the belt

take away his winnings since he won nothing

take the #1 and # 2 contenders fight for the belt.

wow you guys are the ones that just wanna see knock outs

you should go see some toughman fights, no training just brawling.

MMA is alot of training and studying your opponent.....I guess you just wanna see someone lose by knockout.

no i wanted to see a champ fight like a champ. not run from it.

hes got a very good ground game but refused to take it there every single time.

Leites kept trying to take it to the ground which made him look bad because Silva refused to. Silva's fights are like that every single time. Dana andthe UFC should all question their CHAMP

so whats the deal with silva?? did he not fight or what
he stood in the ring refusing to fight. there more action in the WWE

i think 80% of you have no idea what you are talking about....

Yes the fight was boring, but come on... all that matters in the big picture is WINNING OR LOSING.... Silva had the fight from round 2... there was no point in him risking the fight by going to the ground, where odds are, he would have lost... so being ahead, why go to the opponents strongest threat instead of making the opponent TRY to win the fight!!!

The only one refusing to FIGHT was the guy that kept sitting on the ground!!! SIlva wanted to stand up and fight... did you not see the other guys face by the end of the fight... it was all F-ed up for the little effort Silva put in.. .That guy had no business being in the ring with Silva... he offered NO stand up threat what-so-ever!!! That was frickin training to Silva... Why risk losing going on the ground with the best, statistically speaking, ground skilled person in the game

round 1 there was no round. the last minute or so finally started a little something. the rest of the sparing

Leites was outmatched on his feet and he knew it which is why he kept trying to take it to the ground. YET, he did stay on his feet since Silva was scared to take it to the ground. as i said Silva has a very good ground game but showed all he cares about is keeping the belt. even if that means standing back and makign the ref get the other guy up.

you ask why he would risk the ground game against the "best statistically"

ask yourself this then

why would Leites risk the stand up with Silva when Silva is the "so called best pound for pound fighter?"

the question you ask can go either way so it is nothing more than an argument that would never end.

sure Leites was outmatched on paper. neither person had a good fight. Silva though doesnt deserve to stand in there and fight if he isnt going to fight. when every one of his fights is the same way UFC needs to stick with having Silva on SPIKE. he should never get another fight on any PPV card. unless he earns it.

no, the question can not go both way because SILVA WAS WINNING!!! that forces Leites to move to Silva's game... thats what all fighters do!!! force the opponent to play their game!!??????????????? am I wrong in that statment??

how is 9 wins in a row not earning it!???? NOBODY HAS EVER DONE THAT!!! he holds the record!!~????? nobody has even challenged hiM!!

Muhammed Ali... DEFENSIVE FIGHTER............... counter-attacked... you never saw him running in there being the aggressor until they were weak.

What I will give you is that SIlva should have just knocked him the F-out..because he could have done it with his eyes closed, but again, that risks maybe making a deadly mistake... Thats the other thing you gotta understand in this situation... Silva, holding the belt, has the option to just sit back...he already won the fight...he's got nothin to lose just sittin there making Leites play his game

anyone would be winning if they get some good shots in and stand back the rest of the fight.

my opinion doesnt matter much but honestly Silva doesnt deserve to have that title either. this wasnt a "win" it wasnt even a fight. by either of them.

here is the issue, flopping on your back doesnt get takedowns, that is part of the game, if u cant fight on your feet, u better learn to take someone down.

how can you say Silva doesnt deserve the belt? thats just makes you look stupid. HE HAS LOST ONE ROUND in all of his title defenses. he doesnt fight chumps like leites did, he fights the number one contenders, too bad they are no where close to him.

maybe Dana White should find some better middle weights, its not Silva's fault Leites couldn't even put a chink in his armor

exactly, Laties didnt try to take him to the ground he tried to make him come down by falling down......thats not fighting.

The few times Laties did get him down Silva got right out of it.
