Nice job- the port will work fine. Size doesn't matter really as long as a port is the correct length- just adjusts the tightness of the tuning frequency. Take for instance a 50 sq in port tuned to 34hz vs a 100 sq in port tuned to 34 hz. The larger the port, the more narrow bandwidth the port resonantes at. Smaller port- broader bandwidth. Meaning, the larger port will tend to resonate at very close to its tuning frequency and at higher output.
Not to mention larger ports avoid chuffing and the like.

Its all rather simple...
For daily use, that port is just obscene.

 
it looks good. no bracing for the low. as far as the port being to big, if it is too big the sub will feel like they are in free air and over excursions will take place. not saying that it is to big, just saying what can happen if it is too big.

let us know how it sounds.

and if you can take some vids.
