Type X's for 300?

Hey guys, just recently got back into the car audio game. No less than a week ago, I installed 2 of the newer Type R's and an alpine Mrv-m850 (800 RMS). I'm pretty happy with it, I know it can do a lot more than I'm allowing it to do as I have it under half of its recommended RMS.

A guy is selling type X's locally. $300 for the pair of 12's. This seems like a **** good deal and I've always been interested in the type x. I know they are definitely consider an sq sub, but would it be worth it for me to sell the type R's and get the x's? Or should I just stick with what I have seeing as I'm only looking at getting about 200 locally for my type L's

There are 2 versions of the SWX...both are quite impressive but the second version has some improvements over the first.

You really need some serious power to get the SWX to really come alive. Your 850 may not really be enough for one.

The newer SWR is supposed to be quite a nice sub in it's own right. I wish they made a 15.

The new SWS series is an underhung design as are the SWR-Thin series...Alpines got some nice designs...I would like to see some bigger drivers though.
