Type x vs hdc3?

Finally down to my final decision.

What would sound better and be louder?

My two choices are the type x 12 with an mrp-m1000 or the aq hdc312 with the aq1200d.

The aq setup has more power and I can get it for cheaper but which has better sq and is louder?

That MRPs not a bad amp. I had the 500 and it was really good for the money

Ya I had a 4 channel but for the money they aren't that great

Rockford T1000-1bdcp, Kicker ZX1000, or the MRP if you can get it cheap.

The AQ would be fine as long as you wire to 1 ohm... If your on a tight budget on of the AP's maybe

HDC3 > Type X

in pretty much everyway, if you put the same power on the type X, on the HDC, SQ would be just about the same, cuz that wattage would tickle the HDC... On the other hand, you could stick that HDC on 2.5k and completely blow that type X away, output wise...

HDC can sound good, just dont ask them to get super loud AND sound good, but that's a pretty universal statement for any sub...

AQ is cheap noise and thats it.

I bet that HDC could take 2.5k daily for alot longer than i plan on keeping the system

id go with the hdc. and i was told there good for 2.5k
