if your willing to spend the extra money, and know what you are doing, go with the dub7.

I think the dub7 will hit lower and sound better, but its a win win either way

The type x, just because of price. If you are a baller and can install the right way, then do the w7. Me I would do the X, which I may end up getting one later this year being my FI Q is shot to shit!

if a person had the room, 2 type x's would pound nicely and be around the same price as a w7, considering you'd need a bigger amp.

i do agree to a point. as i stated earlier, if you have the room, you could get 2 type x's and a 2000w amp for about the same price and have better results than with 1 w7. 1 w7 would be nicer than 1 type x. 2 type x's would out perform 1 w7 and be about the same price, if not cheaper. 2 w7's would be like bangin' an expensive hooker. it'll be really good, but you'll pay for it.

the type x was designed for SQ. The w7 was designed for SQL. I like single sub setups better because the box won't take up as much space as two subs and there will be no phase issue and it will cost less. So get one ported w7 and jl 1000/1 amp and that should be enough to bump hard and sound good

If you want something with EXTREME low end extension, get the type-X. It's probably one of, if not the best sub on the market in its price range for sick low end.
