Type R's or JL subs?

I cant decide what to buy. I have never heard Type R's before, but i have heard nothing but good things about them. I have heard some JL's and I am amazed with how nice they are. they seem to have a lot of bass no matter where you have the volume, and when it is turned up they still sound nice. Price wise it looks like JL's are more than the Type R's, but i wasnt sure if its worth it. The Type r's look like they are built a little better, but JL's sound amazing even tho they dont look so heavy duty. I found some Type R's for $140 and the cheapest I found JL's for was $170. Any suggestions on what I should buy?

JL doesn't have any internet authorized dealers, so if you're purchasing their product online, it'll have the serial numbers removed and have been reassembled with silicon.

The Type-R is a great sub too, if you like Hondas and big aluminum spoilers.

Check out some decent brands. How come nobody is rocking the Boston Acoustics?

IMO Type R's are a better buy. They're not the GOD of subs like some think, but they are a great bang for the buck.

I listen to a lot of rap and like as much bass as possible. My buddy has a set of JL's from about 2 years ago, i think they are the 12W3 model, i am not positive tho. he has a kenwood 1000 watt amp powering them.

type r's are a good bang for the buck woofer. They jus want a decent sized box and decent amount of power(800-1200)or so.....IMO id take the type are if you have the room
