Sealed or ported will depend on the type of sound you want to get out of it. Generally, although not always, ported will play louder and sealed will play cleaner and tighter. Now, if you're good at designing and building ported boxes, you can achieve great results for both sound quality and volume from a proper ported enclosure. I tend to go sealed because they're generally a lot easier to work with. I don't care much about the overall output of the sub though. I like my sub stage to blend with my front stage 99% of the time. Hell, lately I haven't even been using my Type R 15 in the Jeep, I've just been driving around with the fronts crossed over at 31.5 Hz with a 24 dB/octave slope. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
