Type R question

just looking to get opinions

3 10" type R

or

2 12" type R

advantages/dissadvantages to both

these are going in a 2005 honda civic running off a 1250 watt @ 1 ohm planet audio amp

or scrap the idea and go with 2 12" fiQ

looking for clean hard hitting bass......

yes but will Q's be insanely loud? really looking for advantages of running 3 tens over 2 12's want clean tight dont care bout shaking houses just wanna feel it in my gut you know.....

just a matter of money man, $240 vs $330 vs $520

you get what you pay for, every $ of it...can't go wrong with any choice...

although the 2 12 R's would be a way better bang for the buck then the 3 10's R's and maybe alittle bit more bang for the buck vs. the Q

meaning why pay an extra $100 when they almost the same (2 12's vs 3 10's R's) considering the power going into the two choices is the same...

as far as 2 R's vs 2 Q's, thats over 2x the price, and if u got the money, the marginal value of the Q's are worth it, if you don't got the money, the 2 R's 12's are still gonna be a great set...

I would say so. Those Type R's are alot of beef. 2 12's should be richous! I would think space in the trunk would be one advantage I would consider.

well the reason for the question really is that my girlfriend just bought a civic with three R's fiberglassed, amps in a subfloor and she has a ton more room in her trunk that in mine where i have 2 planet audio big bang twelves my box is huge and takes up alot of space. and recently been more for sq with a little bump over mine which is really boomy and loud. so just wanted to know if 3 tens would sound better than 2 twelves

i know what ur thinking just listen to hers but hers is tuned more for highs and she wont let me play with the amp cause quit frankly shes smart and knows when i start playing with shit i go overboard lol

and now that i look at it my 1200 watts i have to give them probably wouldnt do the q's justice anyway so i might have just answered my own question any other insight you guys have would help me alot.... christmas is coming that means money and presents lol want to know what to ask people for ha ha

ofcourse it would....granted you got the extra power to push them and the extra cash...

but is the marginal gain of the 3 10's worth the extra money? imo NO!
