Type R Guys...quick question

I know there are hundreds of threads regarding R's but just have a quick question.

My buddy just got:

2 10" Type R's

Small Sealed Enclosure (This will eventually become a nice ported enclosure, but he is broke after subs/amp for time being and box came w subs)

Now, I have a Soundstream 1700 I'd let him borrow and pay me as he got the funds. Assuming it is properly tuned....

Will two 10" type r's handle 1700rms daily in a small sealed enclosure?

Everything will be tuned properly w/ a DMM.

i've fed the 12s 1k daily before and they handled it fine, i've probably owned more 12s than anyone on the forums at one time anyhow..

on the 10s i wouldn't give them much over 800 per but being in a small sealed enclosure, should help with it somewhat.

they can take that all day, no problem. But they are going to sound like *** in a small sealed box. Good luck.
it'll help them take the power, I wouldn't port them running that much to each in the 10" form. 12s would be much more suited for it however.

Thanks for the help guys.

I know these things handle well above rated but didn't wanna risk going overboard.

I'll turn down the gains when the ported enclosure comes around.

Yes Im aware theyre going to sound like ***. Thank you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
