type r 12", or HE2 15"?

which ones would u say would be better subs. A pair of HE2 15" subs (500 watts rms) or a pair of 12" alpine type r's? Im really looking more for spl over sq, but any input on either of these, and how they compare would be nice.

The HE2's are 190$, and the Type R's are 230$

id take the he'2 since there 15's but if both where 15's id take the type r's

I would probably get the R's just because they can take such a beating.

my amp is 1000 watts at 1 ohm, so they wouldnt be getting overpowered
