Hello, I am deciding what type of box I should get for my 15" memphis mojo, but I'm not quite sure about the space of the box it should be.

I know it should be atleast 3 cubic feet, but idk how to measure that and all. Also, idk much about the "hurtz" or whatever, like 30-45hz? what sounds the best? how do I change the "frequency"? The size of the port? Sorry I'm still new with all this and I'm still learning.

Should I get a probox?

Here are the specs to my memphis mojo

15" (MOJO15D2)

• Continuous Power Handling: 1500W

• Max Power Handling : 3000W

• Sensitivity (2.83v) : 92dB

• Magnet Size : 228 oz.

• Mounting Depth : 9.4"

• Voice Coil Configuration : Dual 2 Ohm

Thanks! -Steve

Lots to learn lol.

1. Needs to be 3.5-4 cubic feet AFTER port displacement. So subtract the area the port takes up.

2. The port needs to have an area between 40-60 sq" of opening.

3. Needs to be tuned from 30-35hz

4. All of those factor into how long the port should be.

Go to reaudio.com/boxcalc and play around there with some numbers

The only thing is I have no experience in building boxes, so I don't know how much it'll cost to build it, what type of glue, type of wood, how thick the wood, etc etc. Do you know of any YouTube tuts or any other links? Thank you

Yeah just any simple woodscrew. Look for 1.25" or 1.50" maybe longer if you plan for something out of the ordinary ( double baffled front). Liquid nails will do man.. I'm sure buck or ram will be able to truly help you out and if you want, they could make you a design and cut out sheet.

I would just go with a ported box tuned from 32 hz. - 35 hz.
