Two Type R 12" = 143dB Good/bad? :)

So basically box should be 3cu.ft and tuned very high?

If I tune 3cu.ft box to 50Hz will I get a lot dB? or tuning freq is too high?

instead of sub up port up, I would do sub up port back. what kind of car is it?

2 12s in a 3 cubes box? sounds good. start with that a work your way down.

i pulled a 144, but that was burp at 47hz wished i had 3 more dBs )

I think I could make a little more dBs because then I looked to amp there was only 13V, so I lost some Watts and didn't have 1000Wrms.

What amp you used? Car, box?

Yesterday was dB Drag. With new 4cu.ft box tuned to 43Hz with "home made" 4 x 4" flared ports (sub up, ports to front) made 146.4dB at 50Hz burp in final and 146.7dB in qualification. Thanks for Adassa Audio amplifier! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Without it I wouldn't get so huge scores. Also I used 3 batteries in trunk and 1 under hood //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So I took second place, but dB Drag organizers didn't give any CUPs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif And prizes got only 1st place winners, but also no CUPs. So it sucks a little bit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Because first time I reached so great pace and didn't get CUP. But anyway competition was great.

sub up port back is generally best for crx/hatchbacks.

Nice glad you finally got up there.......do you still have that termlab....try to turn that box around and face the ports to the back,and test that way to see if it helps out ur score some....i know itd help it sound better

those type r's can take more power bro. friend had 1 12" off about 2k of power, sounded great.

i say, try sub up port back. also, if you happen to start wanting to compete full time and shit i would suggest around 1.5k or so per 12". if this is strictly for daily and just the occasional comp, i think yoru doing just fine. dont need to drop the cash on another amp if this is just for shits and giggles. 143db off music isnt a bad score in the least. you almost got a 147 off tones, i say your doing **** good bro
