two SA-8 's dual 4 or dual 2 ?

wanting your guys opinon on weither i should get dual 4 subs or dual 2 ? i know the lower you go the more loud it will get but SQ goes down and will get hotter. I wanna have these subs for a while so i'm not sure if they can handle 1ohm for a long period. will be for a daily application.

Ok, forget everything u just said.

Now....Match the impedance of the subs to the amps output at the impedance u plan to run. Example: your amp does 1000w at one ohm, you buy two dual 4 subs and wire to one ohm to get the full 1000w, or if your amp does 1000w at 2 ohms, u get dual 2 ohm subs and wire to 2 ohms for full power

With the power you'll be running I doubt you'll Need electrical upgrades at 1 or 2 ohms, maybe big 3 to be safe.

Are you wanting to wire them down to .5??? if your wiring them at 2 ohms i dont see a electrical issue

ive ran 1K on stock electrical. just dropped an Optima Yellow Top in, had no problems at all. i think i saw the lights dim once and that was on a cold morning at a local VW show and i had just started the car.

if ur runnning 2 SA-8s 1K is a good point to start at IMO. you can do just fine with less, but 1K sounds really nice.

i'll probably go with 1ohm then if its not a issue as it will be cheaper with amps , i'm thinking of running about 600 clean rms each. I heard jacob from sundown has his 8v2 with about 800 rms daily, some one can comment on this .

Those people did something wrong. 1k at 1 ohm should be fine.
