Two or Four Subs?

How the different sized enclosures react in the car will also make a difference.

Did a 2 18 set up in a tahoe, 54 legal and impressive on music, peaked at 39-40Hz. Did a new box with 4 18's, same number legal, peaks at 34hz and moves a TON more air on music. Both boxes tuned to 36Hz...

For a daily/demo set up I'll always take cone area/motor strength over less subs with more power.

It's enclosure dependent, as is any build. Given both setups are built with optimum enclosures, I'd personally go with the four-sub setup. However, you're going to need a lot of room to get the optimum setup for four subwoofers, so consider just running two, and then you know you'll be able to fit the enclosures that perform best with the given subs.

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.
