Would i be better off running 4 subs at 600rms a piece or two 1200rms subs a piece?

Cone area bro. Cone area. Given you've got the proper space to run 4 woofers you'd be better off. I've got 4 SA12s for sale right now if you're interested.

All depends if you have the space to support a proper enclosure for four subs. Plus all depends what your looking at as far as subs. I mean 4 Pyle 12's are more than likely not gonna have the output of 2 Sundown SA12's.

double the power will increase the Debeez slightly but double cone area will be more air moving.

For 2 tens cone are would be roughly 157" compared to 314" for 4. If it were me and I had the room I would rather run (4) lower level 600w subs than (2) 1200w subs.

Id wager 2 18s on 1200 each will be very comparable, if not louder than 4 12s on 600 each.

It should be louder as long as you have the room for the 18's

(4) 12's = ~450 inches

(2) 18's = ~510 inches

2 18s(1200w/e > 4 12(600w/e)
