Two low-end subs vs one higher-end sub

My friend has two 12" Planet Audio (~200 watts RMS) in a prefab box, and thinks they are the second coming of Christ. Against my protest, he walked into the local audio store with $500 and walked out with a "killer system".

Now, I'm in the process of putting my system together. Already have a 12" AQ SDC2.5 and 1200D, planning on making a 2.2cu box at 38. Car is currently out of commission though, so I don't have them installed yet. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

What I'm wondering is, how dramatic a difference (if any) will I see with this setup over his, overall, and in respect to SPL and SQ?

He has moar cone area!!!!!!!!!! He'll prolly be louder cause his box will be tuned super high and he'll crank the gains up and use bass boost. his will also prolly go before your too though.

hell yeah!! you could probably cause the blinker fluid to overflow from his car and cause his wiring to short out. Then you will be probably 24 to 399 cockleburrs ahead of him!!
No, he uses the good stuff

But back on topic, we both drive the same car (basically) and I know the only real way to tell would be to see them side by side, but I was looking for an educated prediction on how teh two will stack up. Just for my own curiosity.
