Two different spec's?

Phoenix Gold's web site says that the Octane 8.0:4 is rated 400x2 bridged @4. Doesn't say RMS or max. Ebay and Soundomain both say 250x2bridged @4 rms. Which should I go by?

I don't know exactly where on phoenix's site you found that 400x2 bridged figure but when I went to their site and had a peek at the .pdf file of the manual for the Octane-R series 4ch amps (R8.0:4 and R5.0:4) shows the RMS output for the R8.0:4 measured at 14.4vdc input is as follows:

75w/ch X 4 channels @ 4 Ohm stereo

125w/ch X 4 channels @ 2 Ohm stereo

250w/ch X 2 channels @ 4 Ohm mono bridged

Chances are those are the Max ratings...
