Alpine amps pure image?

What i mean by the title is that is alpine just cleanging to their name when it comes to their amps? im looking at a mrd-m1000 for around 210 or so. (i know its a cheap price). aFter "going at it" all over the internet forums i came across with different opinions with of course the good and the bad reviews, yet most of the bad reviews' main point was the price. (which isnt the problem here) Can some one just shed some light on whats alpine up to? thank you.

This could help,,, my price range is around 250 at max and need about 1000 watts @ 2ohms for my avalanche.

alpine amps ar ok. i have the mrp 240 ant it puts out plenty for my components. i'd go with tthat amp because it will be tough fining a 1000wrms at 2ohm for 250$. my mrp240 cost 125. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif, but MSRP is 300$ for that fugger.
