Ummmm.....negative.you guys were talking about the pellets...believe it or not the feathers are so thick on the birds chest, unless you are really really close the pellets will never get threw..
basically if you chest shoot a turkey...it snows feathers and he falls down...you go over to pick him up and he gets up and runs off..LOL

I have only plucked one, and we deep fried it whole for Thanksgiving..So I can't really comment it how that works.Pluck it, skin on (or add some fat from the cavity section), rub with oil, slow cook covered (or in the bag as pictured). Add 1/4 cup of white wine, dash of soy sauce, fresh onions and/or celery will add more moisture.
I'm a novice hunter, but I know how to cook anything.
