two amps and only two preamp outputs

and as for the remote wire, ground wire and hot wire i can jus run them to one amp, and then wire them from that amp the other amp?
With the remoter wire, yes. As for the power and ground. I would HIGHLY suggest distribution blocks. Makes things much easier. And for god sakes, fuse your power wires.

What amps are you going to be running and to what???

currently i have a pair of infinity components up front and a pair of their two ways in rear (Infinity Reference 5010CS and Infinity Referencce 6012i to be more specific). I plan on getting a 12" Alpine type r within the next month or so. as for the amps, not really sure. im still looking around seeing which ones would go best with those speakers.

and distribution blocks, wat are they for?

Has good prices and great to deal with. I have bought from them before.

Dist. blocks can be found in their menu on the left.

As far as amps go... Its all how much you are willing to spend. I like Memphis myself. Do a lot of reading on this site and you will find some very good information in between all the BS. Check out the "stickies" at the top of each section. You sound as if you are new to car audio. Here is a good site to read up on and learn a lot. http://www.bcae1.com/

I will do what I can to help.

im not really new. i've hooked up some systems b4, not two amps in one system. i've jus done basic installations. but im willing to learn as much as i can. so i guess u can say i am kinda new. i've been looking through this site for a couple of years now, but there's so much in this form to learn everything real quik. but thanks man, i appreciate the help

hey i was also considering a 5ch amp. would that be good or should i stick with the 2 amp set up?

There are pros and cons to each. I would love to have a 5 ch. Memphis Belle. The great thing about a 5 ch is everything in one neat package. Separate amps, If one of the amps go bad, just replace or fix the one.
