does anyone else make a 6.5 inch woofer like this? i hate jl but they seem to be the only ones making such a small woofer. i'm thinking of running like 8 of these on a rf t1000.1

Elemental Designs have some wicked 6.5/7inch subs. TangBand has some really nice underhung high excursion 6.5inch subs as well. CDT Audio has some great mini subs also.

I may be mistaken but I think this was the guy who was going to build a box under the rear seats...so he is limited by shape/size.

Ya know, Im kinda not sure on those 6.5's. I played with some placement of the single 8 I have in it now and it facing forward wasn't to accurate and not as strong. I only have 1 old compvr sealed and an old impulse amp pushing it. All stock speakers and half of my vehicle sound dampened....got t-boned on passenger side! All that work gone...

So I need some subs to run off that 500/1. Im wanting to do the 300/4 500/1 combo and Im planning on doing the Alpine 6.5'' R-type components Front and rear. Just kinda caught up on the sub decision. I could probably glass 10's or 12's into the rear panels....Any more ideas?

And if you're willing to do 8's, I'd go w/the DD T1508's. They're only 4.5" deep so you can still save space, and you could easily put a pair on that RF 1000w and watch them laugh at you.

The only downside is you cannot run sealed, so the box may take a little more room than a sealed 8w7. But with 500w, I'd be willing to put a DD 8 up against a pair of 8w7's. It can get LOUD.

I know Im kinda all over the place but what about a 13.5 or 12'' W6v2 off that 500/1. Just kinda brainstorming. Bear with me...I did a 13.5 in a Accord slot ported before and it slammed!

I don't ant an spl type sloppy system, as I've said before. Just something that will suit anything from Incubus and Red Jumpsuit Appartus to Slipknot and Metallica to Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy.
