Two 2 ohm dvc subs

I want to wire these down to one ohm if possible and i seen a diagram that show'd if i connected all the positives together and out to a single positive wire and i did the same for the negitives, that this would result in a 1 ohm load. Just wanted to make sure this was right before i get to soldering wires together since there all direct lead subs.

Almost true. They can also be wired to 8 ohms haha. Not that anyone would wanna do that, just saying its an option. And actually if you had a bridgeable amp you could technically wire the subs to 8 ohms and then bridge at the amp for a final load of 4 ohms could you not?

But the OP is wanting to wire to 1 ohm. And as far as I know there is no way to INCREASE resistance to 1ohm at the amp after wiring the subs to 0.5 ohms.

Although I might suggest that you wire the subs down to 0.5ohms anyways and after impedance/box rise the amp will most likely be seeing over a 1ohm load anyways especially at higher volumes (so within the amps stable range). And at lower volumes the even if the impedance drops below 1ohm it probably wont be enough to create enough heat to damage anything because there wont be enough power going through at that lower resistance level to cause any harm.

Someone obviously correct me if I'm wrong but it should technically work right?

not knowing the amp, or elec, i wouldnt defineatly not not suggest running .5 to a unknown 1 ohm stable? amp for a daily setup.

go with a 2ohm load and see if its enough... for your application you need D4 or D1 or S2
