TWO 15's too big for a civic's trunk?

I'm doing the 12" Type R's with that amp in the trunk of my Camry. I had thought about 15" Type R's and removing the rear seats to build a partial wall, but more work than what its worth.

well...
for type r's....powered by a hifonics bxi 2006D....

one 15 (about 1700w)

or

two 12's ? (about 800-900w each)

PORTED
That'd be a tough call......

But i honestly think the single 15 would wang harder, since it would have a lot more space, and you could tune lower.

Plus, i had a bxi2006d on a pair of type-r 12's in 2.0 each tuned to 30hz, and i was pretty disappointed, and ended up going back to my type-x's.

yeah....im getting a TCAB box....since they are back....and mark know this "special trick" to make r's WHAM !!

WOW! you are the first person i have EVER heard say that they were disappointed with the type r's....do u think it was the amps fault, box, or the subs themselves ?

it's called tuning high as shit, so your music sounds like ***.

it works with a lot more subs than type-r's.

There's single 10" L7's hitting 150's, too.

it just depends on how much frequency range you're willing to sacrifice.

and lows, imo, are better, even if they don't meter as well. Just today, in fact, driving down tallmadge avenue in akron, a blazer passed me in the opposite direction, it sounded like it must've been a 30hz test tone, and honest to god, it felt like an earth quake.

they were loud, don't get me wrong.

i just expected the r's to be a LOT louder than the type-x's, since the x's are quite power-hungry, but they didn't get much louder at all.

And to put it in perspective, i just sold a pair of L7's, cause i ONLY hit a 143.3

i listen to rap...so i was gunna tune it to like 30-35hz....
