Okay, so I have two 12s right now, in my trunk. Some guy is offering me an 8 for $30, and I got some spare cash and am bored... I was thinking of putting the 8 in the cabin somewhere, maybe mount it on my rear deck.

What do you guys think? I have heard mixing sizes doesnt work, but what if they were not in the same area.

Is it worth trying?

midbass...good idea

on rear deck...bad idea

if your getting 2, run them in the doors

if only one i'd glass it under the dash, in the middle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i agree.. i talked to somebody about this idea before and they said they did a single 8 in the front and crossed it around 160 and it sounded awesome.
but yeah it shoudl at least be up front.
if i did a single like that i would def put it in the middle though because i believe its somewhere around 125Hz that bass starts being directional, so you wouldn't want the upper end of the midbass to favor one side more than the other.

yeah exactly.. i meant to say in the middle but i guess just hoped it would be inferred.
