two 12" aq hdc4s reconed to 18's?

I was trying to stay away from a wall.. Its only a little 4 cylinder engine. I didnt want to to weigh it down too much. So removing the backseat and building a box similar to the one in the video is a bad idea? I was even thinking of walling off the trunk from the cabin.


I was thinking of that as well. What about an 18" smd? That sub looks pretty decent.

Do what you like. I haven't ever heard a backseat box do particularly well. Best bet would be to wall/seal off just the trunk and stick with your 12's IMO. A friend of mine up here does consistant 150 give or take a few tenths with a single 15 in a trunk civic and 5K. Not tuned overly high either...his peak is @ 44hz

My main point was to get peoples opinions on this build. So I guess ill stay away from this build, and thanks for the advice. Ill just stick with my 12's for now. lol I just cant stay with the same setup for too long, I always like changing up.

12 cubes is 12 cubes, wall or half assed back seat wall. Use baltic birch to save weight. I had a wall in my 4 banger altima with 12 batts in the trunk. Pulled the weight no problem.
