Two 10's that get low and loud

I need 2 10s that get really low (lower then a 12)Only have 1100 watts

2.2cu.ft box tuned to 32 hz.

Budget max $320 for 2 of them
well if you allready are set on the box thers really not a huge difference in how low they will go between 10's get something that has a high xmax

i would say treo ssi but they are out of your price range if you look for brand new. they deff hit extremely low though. many friends of mine thought i must have a 15 in my car till i opened the hatch.

also another problem... treo says to put the tens in 1.75 cu ft each so they might not play as low if you use a pair in 2.2cu ft.

So the higher the xmax the more excursion the lower it gets ? and the better it sounds? Also, does a high xmax mean its not going to get loud because i've noticed spl subs have xmax's around 11.

yea i wonder this as well actually. no matter how i read it i still can't understand what xmax means.

higher xmax=more excursion=more air movement

and the better it sounds= no, more xmax does not mean a better sound

there are some subs with very low xmax( around 6 mm) that are as loud or louder than the higher xmax subs. There are many other factors to take into consideration though......box,vehicle, etc.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Well i know its more install dependent, but in the perfect senerio out of all of those specs they list which are actually important and can predict what the woofer will sound like or how loud it will get?

Check these out. I know someone will say crap, but those are some nice speakers. I have a 12" xe series which is under the xl series, and it gets **** low. Plus, you can say you out did someone with more expensive speakers.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I dont care what anyone thinks, MA makes some nice stuff. Peace out//:fro:

"SENSITIVITY"

"This is a very important spec for a speaker. It gives you an idea of how LOUD a speaker will play given a certain input power. If a speaker is insensitive then it will require more power to play at the same volume level than a speaker that is more sensitive. Figures between 85 dB and 95 dB at 1 watt RMS at 1 meter are common. If you use anything outside of this range you may have problems matching the output levels of the speakers relative to each other. If you're going to run speakers off of a head unit then try to get speakers with higher input sensitivities since head units typically do not have much power."

this part from what i read isn't entirly true.
its like this any sub you get will hit 20 hz, but the difference is how loudly it does it, since your enclosure is not variable the only thing that is going to effect how loud your sub hits low is a high xmax..

oh yeah and xmax = one way linear excursion
