Two 10's or Four 6.5's ??

I'm adding midrange speakers to the rear doors and can either fit a single 10" or two 6.5's in each door.
So the question is what would be louder, two 10's or four 6.5" speakers?
And yes I know different speakers have different parameters. Either size speaker would be close to 100 DB and have between 350 to 500 watts RMS.
Is cone area king even with midrange drivers?

I went from 6 6.5s in my front doors to 4 10s and was much happier with the 10s.

2 10's have more cone area, thus should be louder.

4 6.5's as a cone area of 132.665
2 10's as a cone area of 157

Hopefully my calculations are right

You might be able to do more interesting things with the box using (4) 6.5" woofers

Man, i can tell you that nothing can beat a good mounted 10 inch midbass/midrange. i have 4 of them in my door and you can feel the punch in your chest from a good distance.
