two 10" kicker comp VR'S?

Give them closer to the maximum recommended size box. They sound better in a lil bigger boxes. I built my friend a box for a couple of 10'' comp vr's to go in a single cab truck. Gave them about 1.2 cubes each, he's feeding them 250 watts each and they impressed me for comp vr's...I've heard some in smaller boxes that were just horrible. I've also heard two comp vr 12's ported off a 1200.1 in about 2.5-3 cubes each and it got pretty loud, my XXX still seemed louder to me though.

what would be best spl for the budget then? i like the RE SE's alot... but dont have that much money atm. i want somethin that has pretty nice spl for two 10"'s.... but then again not going REAL high on price

any ideas guys

thx so much

The question I need an answer to is how much room do you have? That determines alot when it comes to just how much SPL you can get. If you have room for 2 ported SE's I would take them over the compvr's even though I have no heard the SE's. RE is a very good reliable company(so is kicker) but the comp vr's shouldn't even compare to any of the RE lines.
