Twisting Wires

I am getting ready to install a alarm system and have seen a lot of tv shows and all that show them twisting wires together. They use a drill and insert like 2 wires in and let the drill spin them how many wires can i do this to at once and also is there any trick to it.
the max i seen was 4 wires..but i dont know if thats safe thoug..i would just stick with 2 or 3..

first off, TWISTING WIRES IS BAD!!!!
but it depends on the wire..if its a cheap $0.99 store well no...but if its good quality wire ill twisted..(if im not lazy)..lol..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

1. Figure out how many wire you NEED, then add 3 more a/b/c as spare same length as the rest.

2. Label each wire on both ends. 1 = power, 2 = common{always white},3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ext. and you 3 spairs, a b and c.

3. Get some heat shrink tubing, certain size depending on how many wires u got.

4.Pull your labeld wires through, Het Shrink your tubing

5.Route your neat bundle of wires.

6.WIRE THAT ISH UP!!

7. TEST

8.ENJOY!!

the only reason to twist wires for an alarm install (and its not bad) is to run wires together that are going to similar locations. for a cleaner and easier install. with out a rats nest.

DO NOT TWIST.... Its like twisting hair dude, sooner or later all the little wires that make up the one wire will start to break. thats how connection go bad and you loose information, power ext.

true on this though

They have a international standard electrical code FOR A REASON. Nautons Law man, For every action thier is a equal and OPOSITE reaction. Twisting wires = Action / Reaction = stress on wires = Wire fraying and breaking over a period of time.
