Tweeters sound harsh on some songs.

I have a pair of Cdt CL-61 BLE and CL-6CXMB.2 but the front tweeters sound harsh, specially on kanyes's ultralight beam when the choir sings. The people that installed the speakers wired them at 4 ohms but both pair of speakers are designed to be 2 ohms. They are connected to two channels rather than 4 on a hifonics zx1016.4. Any suggestions would be great. (crossover on both the deck and amp are untouched)

Note:my last option is to tell a guy to rewire the whole system as it needs to be. each speaker to its own channel.

Need to adjust those x-over settings. Really important to get good sound.

Each of them need to be on their own channels. You need to tweak the EQ around 6khz to 8khz range down as well.

Do you have passive crossovers? In order to run active on the system (a channel dedicated to each speaker) you need an active capable head unit or amp. .... ?

He has two sets of speakers in parallel on two channels of a four channel amplifier.

Pretty sure they are wired in series. He said they were two ohm sets but the installer wired it to 4 ohms..

I would think that if they were wired series or parallel that the tweeters would be getting a full range signal and would die almost instantly when turned up. There seems to be a lot of information missing here

CL-61 is a 2-way passive component set.

Id install a Pre amp EQ..Clean your music up and tune at your fingertips for anything you listen to.
