Tweeter Question and another...

Hello, well I am fairly new to the car audio scene and I have a quick question. Alright I have a JVC DVD Player that I recently had put in, I have two 12's in the trunk powered by an Audiobahn Amp, subs are also audiobahn. I had a new component system put in. I have two infinity tweets on the a pillar, two infinity door speakers and the same brand of 6x9s. These were wired up to the dvd player and the component system came with two crossovers, one for each door speaker/tweeter. All component speakers wired to the DVD player. Recently, I added an amplifier to power the two 6x9s to make them louder but however, now my tweeters are getting a clicking/static sound everytime the bass hits the subs. It's like I can't listen to my music loud becuz of the clicking sound. What is the cause of this? I ran new speaker wires from the two 6x9s to the amp. I don't think the tweeters are bad becuz they are less than two months old. Any help would be appreciated!! THank you

first you need to amp your component set....2nd are the tweeters in the pillars a part of the component set?

yes the tweeters came with the door speakers, so four all in total. 2 doors and 2 tweeters, the package also came with two crossover boxes. i have a 4 channel amp should i use that for the components up front?

personally i'd take the tweeter outof the pillar and place them closer to the midrange speaker in the door, you'll hear a big difference in the sound, then hook the amp up to them and use the gain setting tutorial on the amplifer section of this forum

if im not mistaken the tweeter should be no more than 6inches away from the midrange/midbass

alright thanks man i will go try it out and see what happens. But just another quick ?...if I run new wires should I just cut the stock wires and add on new wires or run ALL NEW WIRES and leave the stock wires in the car?

run all new wires, 14awg wire would be good, maybe even 12....what kindof car is all this in?

yea try to mount the tweeter in the doorpanel closer to the other speaker
