good 8 for higher notes

well theres a song by big tymers called still fly and the higher notes are real soft barely hear them and so i figure an 8 would do the trick wich a good 5 channel amp for mids and the fifth channel for the 8 so i can get a better high out of my system i have never delt with 8s so let me know

seal your doors up to fix the midbass, that will cure that- my 6.5 comps play real well down to around 50hz which is plenty low. You have 2 things to do- first seal off all the holes in the door metal to create an enclosure for the mid of sorts. Then use strip caulking to get a good seal between the mid woofer basket and the back of the door panel when it's on so bass isn't lost between the woofer and the door panel. Do these things first.

Yeah....sounds like you need to work on the install and tuning of your mids.

You shouldn't need to add an 8" for the "upper bass" (midbass)....that's what your component system is for.
