Tweeter Placement?

Hey, I'm proably going to buy a pair of Rainbow CMX Kicks. They come w/tweeters, but I have know idea on where to put the tweets. I have a 2002 Cadillac Deville. I don't really want to drill any holes in the car. So where is the best place to put the tweeters? Any pics of placements would be great, (just so I'll know exactly where in the car that your talking about). Thanks.

If you flat out refuse to mount a tweeter separately but still want the best sound for your dollars, get the Precision Power 356cs or Cerwin vega V-Max-65 and mount the tweeter coax-style in front of the mid.

They are designed to sound good/have a flat response even when mounted coaxially, unlike conventional coaxes. And the sound is on par with the speakers you mentioned. The best of both worlds, coax and component.

DO you have any stock tweeter locations?

I am a big fan of a-pillar tweeter installs...but that is just my aethetic opinion.

You could always buy some, cut them up and if it sucks try again...a pillars are usually cheap.

Like everyone said, leave some slack in your tweeter wiring and try them out in multiple locations to see what you like best. I have mine in the A-pillars and my mids in the doors and I am very happy with it.

Good advise from azbass. Play with placement, it dont cost you nothing to slap some take and find the bestr location that suits you.

I do NOT like a-pillar tweeters. With the good of axis dispersion you get from a Rainbow tweeter, you DONT need dash high mounted tweeters to give you your stage height. But rather it opens up the possibility to get sound from your tweeters that isnt necessarily their sound because you will have high frequency collisions and boosting due to the windshield and dash reflections. It can make a good tweeter with strong dispersion sound bright and harsh.
