i have a 04 cavalier and the stock speakers were 4x6. i bought adapters and upgraded to 6.5 and now im upgrading to 6.5 comps and moving my door speakers to the back deck. the problem is theres no stock tweeters anyway. so i have 2 questions 1, where would be the best and easiest place to mount tweeters, and 2, what can i use to cut thru the plastic to get a perfect hole for the tweets, without cracking anything or putting to much pressure so that it does crack or break? any help is greatly appreciated, and pics of fellow cavalier drivers who did this would be best

i mounted mine right down by the mid

im not saying this is the ideal place for them but it works

the sail pannel usualy has space( the triangle on the inside right behind the driver and passanger mirror..) only if u have power mirrors. and you could always go with the old school and just mount them in the door pannel. best tool would be a hole saw.(in my opinion) if they dont fit just use a file and go slowly and make the edges rounder and wider untill it drops in there and tada... tweeter mounted.

also if the hole is too big just use some hot glue to hold them in. its not permanent and holds them pretty well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yeah its a hole saw.. it wont crack anything its just a round saw with a bit in the middle for the inital digging and you wont have to push hard the drill bit in the middle should help pull the saw through the plastic. ( dont push hard the bit is also made to cut not just to spin lol... it will crack if u excert alot of pressure on it but just calm and steady and it will work fine... depending on speakers i would not use hot glue... get speakers with screw on type backing and alittle lip on the fronts and you can just screw the back on and it will hold it self and will not be perminate either. but then again depends on speakers.

I placed my tweeters up high in the door panel right up under the a pilar. From outside the car you can't even tell there are tweeters there I'll post a pic when I get home.
