tweeter on dash

is it a good idea to have the tweeters on the dash pointing up at the windshield? normally i'd try it out myself but the wiring that came with the tweeter is too short to put up there, so i just wanna get an idea before i cut it to extend it. thanx.

I would suggest mounting them on your A-pillars and pointing each tweeter at the opposite headrest, thats what most people do. If you point at the windshield you will get reflected sound, which may or may not help, depends on the vehicle and situation. Mounting speakers on the dash tends to make them image straight on with the speaker making a super narrow soundstage.

id say within 2 weeks. i can cheat alot though with time alignment and soforth too so ill do it flat first.
