Tweeter no sound, mid all the sound

Hey guys,

Heres my issue, I installed my CDT components and am getting very faint sound from the tweeters. The music plays, but all from the mid (shouldnt the mid be just midbass and no voices?). I double checked my connections and they all look good. It does this on both left and right sides so I know its not just a bad tweeter or crossover.

Any ideas on what I did wrong?

mids will play voices - midbass is like 80-200 hz(ish) and im sure your mids play much higher than that

and i doubt its a bad xover if it does it on both sides (well if its passive between the speakers)

but maybe incorrectly set on the amplifier...?

No voices are generally from 1-5khz and passive components usually cross around 4khz so the mids would actually play most of the voices. The tweeters usually play the high hats, symbols and stuff like that. U could try checking ur amplifier's to see if they have a built in Xover that u have set and acidently cut out the higher frequencies.

Thanks for help guys, So should the amp be in the off position for hpf and lpf? Its been a while since ive hooked this stuff up so i apologize for the dumb questions. ha ha

That all makes sense to me now, but why would the tweeters be almost silent?

Got it squared away, i think the filters moved while installing. I adjusted them and it seems to have solved it, thanks again!
