Tweeter Location?

I am looking for more opinions here. I understand that you cannot provide me with facts and I should try a few different locations, but with that being said...

If this was YOUR truck, where would you start and where would you expect the best results?

eye level if possible no more then a ft away from the woofer..

Thanks guys.

I was afraid that the a pillars were the best way to go. Mine are curved and the tweeters won't fit without some fabrication... which I have never gotten into.

I was hoping someone who owns a Colarado would tell me that they had the best results with them in the doors or kicks, but no such luck, I guess.

Each install is completly different. If you put your tweeters in the same spot mine are in they may sound like garbage. I would seriously consider using velcro till you find the location you like most.

You should try a temp install using either double sided tape or some other way of temporarily mounting the tweeters to different places and see how it sounds. That way, you find the best location and you aren't left second guessing yourself.

here's something I did in a silverado and a supra before. Mount the tweeters to the back of the rearview mirror. it's gauranteed to blow someone's mind about where the sound is coming from.

I guess I'll do just that(move them around until I find the best location).

This is the response I was expecting, really. I was just hoping for a miracle, I guess... someone who actually has the same truck.
