tweeter installation help???

Hi, I'm new to this site and the whole car audio install thing, i've just recently aquired some Clarion 2 way component speakers second-hand, with seperate tweeters. I've allready got a system installed in my car, a pioneer head controlling a 900w rockford 4 channel amplifier which is powering 4 pioneer speakers, 2 6 1/2's in front and two 6x9's in the rear. Now, my question is, what is, if there is a way, the best way to wire in the new speakers and tweeters in as well? Is it possible to run both the 4 speakers i've allready got installed, as well as the two speakers and tweeters i've been given? I know crossovers are something i'm going to have to purchase. Any help would be muuuuuch appreciated, thanks.

Depending on your amp stability and speaker impedances, u could do it theoretically but it's not advised to avoid amp damage and to give u tuning flexibility. I would suggest another amp otherwise use the head unit's high level outputs until u can get the other amp. Did the components not come with passive xovers?

Is there any way i can bridge the channels to run the first 4 speakers off the rear channels, and use the front channels for the mid ranges and the tweeters? If not you said to run them off the deck, should I run them off the front outputs? No, they did not come with crossovers, I bought them second hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I highly reccomend x-overs for comp speakers. you can find simple ones on ebay for about $20. Make sure you're wiring doesn't present a load that your amp won't like. I ran my Alpine amp with a second set of front speakers and wired it in parallel.

as for placement, I'm curious where you plan to put them. Custom pods?

yeah, i'm going to have to buy crossovers, i've seen some AVI's on craigslist, are they any good? I'm not sure about the placement of the comp speakers, the car i'm installing them in is a 1985 VW GTI, so I don't have a ton of options, the front door cards allready have my 6 1/2 pioneers in them, i'm pretty handy with fibreglass though, so i'd love to fabricate some kick panels...and the tweeters, they're either going in-dash or in my a-pillars. Do you know if i can run the comps off my deck? its not running anything else right now.
