My stock Alternator blew...help me

Hey everyone my stock alternator blew out about a week ago, it lasted almost a year with having all of my audio stuff in it, but instead of replacing it with another stock alt, Id like to get one thats about 140 amps, 160... somethin like that but im not trying to spend $200 and all, id like to keep it cheap..any suggestions? Right now im in the process of building a complete new system, and im going to have a 2nd battery, and do the big 3 before powering anything up...

Save up and get a H.o. Alt , DO BIG 3

I just went ahead and bought a 160 amp alternator for my car... and im probably going to read up on it and install it myself, a friend of mine said it wasnt THAT hard, but to make sure I would be doing it right. Im going to be using 0/1 awg wire.. any other advice?

Nice good choice and no Alternator's are not that hard to install at all just loosen the tention on the belt and your good.

Where did you end up getting your H.o Alt at . i got mine at a shop custom done by me.

Oh man see i wouldn't trust getting something like a H.o. alt off of egay.

I got mine off ebay for $150 for 160 amps...yeah you go ahead and spend $300 for one...ill take the $150 hit for a decent alt
