Well, I just received my tweeters today (ScanSpeak D2904/6000), and I tried to install them. I knew they were bigger than the stock tweeters in my civic (mounted basically inside the side mirrors), but I did not realize how little space there was in that trim piece. I would like to install the tweeters in that piece (for a somewhat stock look as well as to avoid damaging a body panel that would cost a lot to replace if I ever sell the vehicle). Does anyone have any experience mounting a tweeter in this location on a Honda Civic (mine is a '99 but I'm sure many of them are the same). I'm thinking it might require a custom fiberglass job? If so does anyone know of any person/business in the chicagoland area that would have experience with this kind of a project (because I do not). Any help would be appreciated.
