Tweeter help please!!!

The other day I was driving and mind you i have rainbow components but i dont know which model i have. well i always slam it like all the time at even higher volumes than what it was. out of nowhere one of my tweeters started started crackling. does this mean that it's blown? it wasn't at it's highest volume that i normally have it at for longer periods of time. could it be a wiring issue. now i can only turn it up to a certain volume before it starts making noise. it can't be blown can it?

troubleshoot wiring (speaker wire, rcas). if those are fine the tweets are probably done

yeah i'm going to be checking wiring tonight. i just wouldnt have a clue how i've played it for longer and louder and one day it starts distorting off of a lower volume not to mention i'm running 4 pairs of speakers in my car off my rockford t-4004
